I'm not sure the lockdown had anything to do with the delay in waves


Arizona had one of the first cases in the US -- an ASU student who had just returned from Wuhan. Yet the cases didn't spike till the summer. The simplest explanation is that everyone in Arizona is outdoors in the winter. Only when they started staying indoors for long periods of time in May/June did the cases start to spike. Similar with all the warm weather states--Florida, Texas, southern California.

Basically, I think all the stuff every government tried or didn't try had basically zero effect. This thing was going to rip through sooner or later.
