you know this. But I think it's worth pointing out to fans that haven't. A lot of the best talent in Virginia is found at rural single and double a schools. So you can't get too caught up in what a kids high school team does or doesn't do. Much like AAU basketball the travel teams are where to evaluate players. A girl might be the only player worth watching on her high school team. But see how they perform on the better travel teams where most of the kids will play some level of college ball. As an example. Who cares that VT signee Emma Lemley's high school team lost the state final game 1 to 0. She has been dominating on what is probably the best travel team in the state. Against far better competition.
