It is a good summary of the numbers. And shows the risk of ACC poaching


If for example FSU is getting $32M a year in the ACC. And lets assume they would have to pay that full amount in GOR fees for the next decade if they left.

And the SEC said, come here and we will ensure all teams get $70M a year. FSU would get $70M and would have to pay out $32M each year. That would leave them with $38M each year, higher than the ACC money and with the potential of a lot more after just a few years. And they would be safe in the largest and strongest college football conference. Wouldn't even matter if they don't win the conference or any national titles. The money would more than make up for it.

Plus, consider the actual game day value of SEC fans traveling to your stadium each year and booking hotel rooms and eating and shopping locally. There is a wider monetary aspect to this that hasn't really been discussed much (and is really obvious in the Teel article when he mentions "Average full-time undergraduate enrollments in the Big Ten (31,557) and SEC (24,164) tower over the ACC (15,867), according to U.S. Department of Education data.")
