When the B12 expanded, the G5 lost almost all of their power

The P5 is now going to be up to 69 teams having poached three of the best from G5.

The G5 is now down to 3-4 consistently good teams (based on recent years). And none of them are close to the Cincinnati or previous UCF level.

At this point it should be P5 auto champs, and highest rated at large (with no guarantee for the G5). It still gives them far more of a chance than they ever had under the old BCS system. But if we limit the field to 8 then you have to follow the dollars and just feed the P5 beast.
