Arc'teryx is probably at the pinnacle when it comes to pricing.

Their gear is as good as it gets, but you pay more for that than anything you can readily find in the US. I have a couple pair of their hiking pants, also purchased from REI's Deal of the Day sales.

I hadn't purchased any Eddie Bauer stuff in a couple decades. It seemed like they sort of went "Land's End" on their products, focusing on clothing to wear in the city, not in the wilderness. That lightweight "breathable" puffer jacket was the first EB item I've bought in a very long time, and I'm EXTREMELY impressed with it. I will buy more...

As for brands of this type of clothing, I own: Patagonia, Marmot, Eddie Bauer, Arc'teryx, Mountain Hardware, Columbia, Rab, North Face, 5.11, KÜHL, REI, ExOfficio, Spyder, Gerry, LL Bean... Needless to say, I've been buying this clothing for the last two decades, and it has become my primary casual clothing today.
