Key phrase in the subject is "if it holds". If the Alliance votes as a block then it can control the division rules and therefore how the CFP is set up.

Possibilities I see are, P5 auto bids in the CFP, waning of ND influence, more TV partners brought into the mix so a waning of ESPN influence, more autonomy for the athletes, more above board influence by boosters and fans, conferences determining their champion any way they see fit, and lots of other intended and unintended consequences I can't think of right now. It is going to be very interesting.
