Some interesting perspectives there.

The B1G and PAC want the Rose Bowl to be round 1 every year with their two Conference Champions. To do that, you have to go to 8 teams. The P-5 would all have to get Automatic Bids.

SEC plays in the Sugar, ACC plays in the Orange and the B12 plays in Cotton. That means highest ranked G5 and 2 highest ranked non-conference champions will be dispersed to play in those 3 bowls. With the highest ranked Conference Champion playing the lowest ranked of the G5 and at large teams etc.

You would still have the Semi’s and the Finals to play after those 4 bowl games. Would they cut 1 regular season game or just tell them to suck it up? Since there is money involved, I think they them to suck it up, but that’s just a guess.

Interesting stuff to think about though, either way they do it.
