4 things. Plus a solution.

OOC in current form is a joke.
It usually involves 3 cupcakes and 1 good opponent played at a neutral site. And on occasion, a quality home and home. The only game nationally that is a must see is Notre Dame-USC.

More games are hypocritical and greedy.
I am sick of the virtue signaling and grandstanding about CTE, "paying college players will ruin college sports", academics and the welfare of the student-athlete from frauds also wanting to play more games. It's pathetic. And LOL at the NFL for expanding the schedule while pretending to care about the long-term health of its players.

The season is way too long.
Can we just have a system that ends on New Years Day like in the past? I'd rather start the season earlier than play the title game on a weekday in the second week of January. Just lame.

Why is 12 the number of the month for a CFP?
Forget byes. Either play the games or don't play them. 2, 4, 8 or 16. If you think playoff games are lopsided now, wait until you give the Alabamas of the world a bye before playing the lowest seeded team to get through the CFP first round.

My solution:
Shrink conferences to the size that round robin play is mandatory (no more than 13 teams per, 12 games). All but junk OOC games. Get rid of lame conference title games. Have an 8 or 16 team playoff. Offer at least half the bids to conference champions, offer the rest at-large.
