Better option is to merge 5 members into the ACC.
If Texas selected 4 travel partners from the Big XII to run a division of 5, they could merge with the ACC and accomplish all the Eastern Market exposure they are seeking along with preserve the feel of regional competition within that Division.
Texas, West Virginia, TCU, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State to the ACC accomplishes all of that and more. If ND still doesn't join, BYU or Navy as football only is still a possibility.
Then the Big Ten could invite Kansas and Iowa State. The SEC could invite Texas Tech and Kansas State. The AAC could invite Baylor.
We've discussed this here on this board many times. I still come back to this as the optimum solution. People argue that it should be Wake Forest left out over others like Baylor or TCU. And we know that the Big Ten isn't impressed with Iowa State. But this is the best overall solution IMO or something close to it.
