It's not just an indy group. It is the SEC and Big 10

who like the current Set-up. The Big 10 won't have one of the 3 major brands in the sport in a rival conference in there back yard, and the SEC can get 2 teams in.

On top of that it looks like the Big 12 will survive for the short term (5-7 years) and likely longer because Texas loves the LHN. All the news that has been coming has been extremely positive for independence. ACC extendeding the GoR all but assured the status quo, no demands were put upon us in regards of more games, full membership Ect. Heck we get a full share from the network even.

This week has been good news for the ACC and I see no reason to set an expectation of something that is very unlikely to happen in our lifetime. I just see a cycle emerge(over my lifetime), an expectation of ND joining is established, Nd does not join, hate ensues. rinse and repeat.
