I question why you would use conference championship as an indicator ...


...it does allow you to play another game against a top team, but the committee should treat that game as any other. PSU's win over Wisky in the B1GCG was nice but OSU's road win over OU was much better.

Another way to look at this is by the hypothetical situation in which PSU loses every OOC game and finishes 8-5 as B1G champ. PSU could in fact finish 13-0, 12-1, 11-2, 10-3, 9-4 or 8-5 and still be conference champion. At what point do they clearly fall out of consideration for top 4?
