These are great additions!


Speaking as a guy who really liked Zadick and St. John, especially the energy and passion that Zadick brought to the room, I am pleasantly surprised that VT could lose those two guys and bring in the quality replacements that they did. I think most knowledgeable wrestling people would look at this and say that ISU had a massive upgrade and Tech did a damn good job of reloading quickly.

From the perspective of elite high school wrestlers, Molinaro is a huge name. What he did at Penn State and then at Rio is still fresh in the minds of the 16-18 year olds every team is trying to recruit. The guy who was a big name 20 years ago (other than a Gable or Sanderson) doesn't mean as much to young recruits as the more recent big names. Molinaro should be a huge sell for prized recruits everywhere and especially in talent-rich PA.
