Yeah, I hear you. I just don't have much tolerance for volatility...


Up until recently, I haven't paid much attention to my balance. But now I'm starting to get to a point where my balance, though measley by most people's standards, is significant enough to me that seeing it shrink significantly would give me some discomfort. Couple that with what some would call one of the most severely overbought markets in history, and I can't help but feel like I should lock in some gains, even if for the short term. I could always re-invest in the same funds in 6-12 months.

I know "timing" the market is a fool's errand, but I also know that failing to lock in ludicrous gains in my self-directed investments has cost me dearly in the past.
