Quick story...when my daughter was a baby, she had the most gawdawful food

sensitivities you could imagine. As a result, we couldn't really buy any packaged food because we had to carefully control all the ingredients. All we really could buy at the grocery store was raw fruits and vegetables, meats, staples (flour, sugar, salt, rice, etc), real butter, etc.

A completely unintended side effect of all this was the amount of trash we generated dropped to about one-quarter to one-half of what it was before. Never thought about or realized how much of our trash was food packaging until we stopped buying packaged food.
