Don’t blame it just on title 9


Hockey is a very expensive sport. Maybe 20 scholarships for a power 5 ice hockey power. That means public school at least 1.8 million extra in scholarships and private probably double plus coach training staff - probably 600k and ice rinks - constructed probably 30-40 million rent probably 100-200 k a year and travel . With escalation of on going expenses with current programs it’s not really feasible for so many programs. Hey many schools having problem starting up just lacrosse or wrestling ...when penn state started scholarship hockey one contributor gave a 85 million dollar contribution . I don’t see that for any of the 13,members who don’t play scholarship hockey
