But, as long as they provide Virginia Tech relatively weak schedules and inferior payouts, neither are serving us well.

Sorry to offend or to rain on your parade. the Swofford love a few folks here display makes me nauseous. The dude's at best incompetent and probably even a crook.

And speaking of 247, the insiders there are fairly open about how VT is simply unable to compete with other programs nowadays due to the lack of money. We are way behind in facilities, quality assistants, and recruiting staff.

VT's back to 20 years ago when we found ourselves in a second class league with second class payouts. It would literally take us another Mike Vick talent, added to a Bud Foster defense, to get us close to a Natty again.

10 years ago, when the payout gap wasn't SO BAD, this wasn't the case. They're really done a number on us.

And who cares about FSU and Clemson being able to overcome these payout gaps? They at least get to play each other and drive up demand in their respective stadiums. They had things in place that VT didn't to keep up too. And all their championships have done for VT is allowed them to frequently come into Virginia and take away many of the best players. VT isn't even on the radar for most of those types of players anymore. Even kids from Virginia who grew up Hokie fans are no longer considering us.
