Well what are YOU doing about our lack of a quality running game?

And as long as there are folks around this board who are dead set on pulling the wool over our eyes, it's important to keep things honest here.

I actually considered writing a book about the VT to the ACC episode from 15 years ago. Plenty of folks would talk nowadays. Just have nowhere near the time to do that though.

I can say that I thought it was the greatest thing ever when we got the invite. However, I am absolutely dumbfounded by how bad the decision making has been since then. I just cannot believe it. So, so, so disappointing.

And as more and more of this UNC debacle has been exposed, I'm fairly certain these guys are crooks. All that stuff started with Swofford as AD. And Raycom? They have a very small circle of folks they do business with and they make sure that everyone in that circle is taken care of. Reading the story of Swofford having folks over at his beachhouse to discuss the ACCNetwork on his back porch made me puke. Good Ole Boy negotiating at its best. And I don't doubt ESPN LOVES negotiating with those guys, because they get over each and every time. Bet ESPN hated negotiating with Delaney or Slive.

Wouldn't mind chatting with Whit about it though. He probably wouldn't be able to be forthcoming. The FSU and Clemson leadership got vocal some and it worked out well for them. Who knows? From the reports I've seen, I do think Whit "gets it" and is as well aware of these things as anyone. Prior VT leadership was so excited to be there, that I don't feel they had the energy to challenge any of these things that set us back. After longing for the ACC for so very long, Weaver and Steger were just happy to be in the room. Think some of our BOV folks are still in that camp. They longed for it so long, that they are blinded to the reality of the situation.

And heck, I think the ACC should be the home of VT. Geographically, it's perfect. And if all contracts were renegotiated today by equally competent and honest individuals, I think ACC payouts would be quite competitive. Wouldn't be B1G or SEC payouts, but pretty close. The ACC probably has the best actual content for a network than any conference. ACC teams being $20-$30 million behind similar caliber programs from other leagues just is not sustainable though.
