Our job as parents is to provide our kids with knowledge and opportunity
After that they will do what they will do. What matters to you may or may not matter to them. If you love your daughter and want to be in her life, support her decision. If you did your job as a parent she will be fine and she will remain part of your life and achieve what she wants in her life, which may or may not be what you want for her.
A military life can be hard but for those who are called to serve both actively and as their spouses and families there is no reward like it. It has meaning that many can't understand and it can't be explained.
Most importantly if things don't go well, by supporting her now you will be there for her to serve the final role of a parent, the safety net to catch them when they fall.
