Had that problem many years ago with a bottom freezer frig. Repairman wante


d to replace the heating unit in the defroster. It iced up regularly. Got tired of chipping ice so I finally chipped the ice out and ran hot water through the hole which cleared it up. Never had that problem again. Saved big bucks.
