In defense of #2 that means prices go up for everyone living there.


and they're not the one's that will benefit from this. They're already undergoing gentrification from what I'm reading and they are the one's that will get driven out. Yes, they will have to leave so I can understand their - the locals - POV.

So I guess I'm sympathetic to that argument, if they at least owned the properties, they might get some of the money coming in to help them move somewhere else, but likely they are all renters.

But hey, that's the way the world works, right?
