My guess is that "deployed" is the wrong term...


My brother in law is a captain in the army...the way the move him around is sort of crazy. It seems like they move the family from one post to another, and then he gets deployed...For instance, he got a new assignment, or whatever the term is that moved him and his family to Fort Hood. He within days of moving the family to Hood, was deployed to Europe. Previously they moved the family to Fort Gordon, and he was almost immediately deployed to the middle east.

My guess is this guy was not deployed to Korea but basically stationed (or whatever the Army word is) in Korea. The family probably had the option of moving there. Maybe there's been a divorce, or something. Maybe the family just didn't want to move to Korea. Either way, I'm guessing he probably has visited, just not ever lived stateside during that time.
