I'm kinda feeling the divorce here

they're trying to make it a better story than it is I think. I mean, nothing wrong - everything right - about flying back from Korea (25 hours? 5 hour drive must be space A) but even then I'm not sure from the story whether he was making up his mind to come back or not, nothing implied he was being detained by his job.

Rotations to Korea were pretty short, like about a year.
