Best guess I have heard about why so many students chose to

accept admission(far more than historically stats), is because of the increased exposure because of the Virginia Tech participation in the Amazon HQ2 expansion. Seems like the admissions department didn't anticipate and adjust to this.... nor did the agency they paid like $350,000 or whatever to predict it, see it coming.
