Lot's of excuses, but just seems the most plausible from all I have heard.

Especially given how badly they were off, when the offers of admission weren't that different from previous years.... and that Amazon thing DID give tech a ton of positive publicity. Hell, even the NCAA tourney run probably swayed some kids this year. Perfect storm... (could have been worse if the football team won the natty. lol)
