seems like prototyping isn't in the vocabulary as much as it should be. I have worked in software 30 years and there are ways to avoid the "oh sh*t" moment at the end when everything comes together...the military gets unlimited money though so they take a lot of risks i assume...i have avoided gov't work my entire life though, so my opinion doesn't come experience per se
