On released statistics from CDC and NYC
Someone already posted the NYC numbers as of 4/13 earlier today. Still under 2% of deaths without underlying conditions.
.02 * 26,061 total US Deaths = 521 US deaths of healthy Americans.
521 deaths / 614,180 CONFIRMED cases = 0.084% of healthy Americans that die. So > 99.9% have not died (some of the confirmed infected still could but likely not enough to significantly impact that statistic).
Also keep in mind that even the CDC has said the numerator is inflated as ALL deaths of infected people are counted as COVID deaths. And the denominator is REALLY underinflated as testing has been limited so there are likely 2-3 times as many actual cases at least. Healthy people don't even know they have it in many cases and don't go to the doctor or get tested.
So I base it on math based on the only data we have. [Post edited by vt90 at 04/15/2020 10:18AM]
