Communication and transparency is the answer to a lot of problems

People really do prefer to never meet their heroes, however, so it's very difficult to find a middle ground between the deification of historical figures and the recognition that they may have been responsible for some bad things too.

Columbus wasn't even the first European to land in the Americas. It's just that Spain was so much better about writing things down than the Vikings were.
