It'll cost relatively more on a lower priced home

A neighbor had their windows installed by a Home Depot contractor. Stay on top of leaks and drafts so you can call them back in to fix them. It sounds like the home is relatively low-priced and window repair or a low-cost window alternative is more suitable.

Around here, the homes are greatly inflating. Not maintaining the home or keeping the materials and floor plan current with contemporary tastes greatly diminishes their appeal to buyers. As a result, we're getting constantly bombarded by builders who want to pay cash and remodel to get a top dollar flip. Outdated homes are being discounted for 150 to 200 thousand, nearly half their replacement value.

I'm looking at replacing the windows. It'll probably cost 12K for 11 windows. I also have to replace the siding at the same time. The HOA no longer allows vinyl windows which are cheaper and easier to maintain.
