The cheaper window replacements are inserts. Were they proposing inserts?

It gets very expensive for a remove, reframe, and replace.

We used a local contractor who replaced our windows with inserts. I think they are vinyl Wincore Windows. No complaints two years in. It was about $5K total for the standard double hung windows. One picture window moved it up an additional $2K.
