The average student pays for his/her education and even for them


transferring may not be easy(gpa, eg). I doubt grades would interfere with any athlete's transferring.
While the value of a college education may vary, VT values it and if you want a VT education, you'll have to pay VT's price(or someone will). And while VT will assist your getting your degree, you are basically on your own.
I believe that VT will make every effort to assure an athlete's getting his/her degree. It is incentivized to do so viz a viz the comparative metrics.
So an athletic scholarship is worth more than the average student's cost.
