Inequities will balance over time... here's what's happening...


I believe someone is creating a league where the top prospects can join directly out of High School and get paid well (I think this is for basketball, not football). It makes sense as these top prospects command a ton of economic value, yet the current college structure doesn't fit for obvious reasons. With this new league, you can setup rules/payments that apply to these outliers, without having to worry about creating policies that that are restrictive in a college setting. I think everybody wins (eg: the new league owners, the NBA, the top prospects, the Div 1 athletes, the colleges). Everyone is still going to watch college basketball without the 1-and-dones, cause the fans loyalty is to the "team", not the individual.
