Here is why it is overwhelmingly likely to NOT be CTE and something else

The C in CTE stands for chronic, It generally takes YEARS to onset, not months or 3 years. When you get the behavior changes that go along with CTE, you also get the language and cognition changes, for example, receptive and expressive aphasia, occasional episodes of incongruent speech. In his interviews, he demonstrates a grand total of ZERO of those symptoms. His responses are fluent and sharp and quick, his language is congruent and in accordance with his body language. This points directly away from CTE as the cause of his behaviors.

What directly points to his condition is a personality disorder, either Narcissistic Personality Disorder or Anti-Social Personality Disorder or Both. These two are often comorbid. We all as humans display narcissistic behavior. This is entirely different and separate from having the diagnosis of the fullblown personality disorder. Personality Disorders, those diagnosed with them are occasionalyl hospitalized at some point in their life, they suffere job loss, social loss, legal/criminal issues, and just a crippled life. One of the main causes? A childhood with an absent father and an uncaring single mother. His Dad was absent and away in Arena Football and not present, his mother was a known alcoholic who was negletful. You take this coupled with his literal checklist of meeting the diagnostic criteria for Narcissistic Personality Disorder, and I think this is where it points. Does he have a mental health issue? Yes. Personality Disorders are devestating. Could his issues be very quick onset CTE? Possible, but incredibly unlikely compared to the alternative I just gave you.
