Humble-brag sorta...need lounge help...Oldest & Annapolis

So my oldest (rising senior in the fall) has a good friend (yr older) that got accepted and is going to Annapolis in the fall. They both have/had similar grades and test scores, and my son maybe a TAD better in those respects - he is taking SAT again with a full extra year of advanced math, so that should go way up. They both play football at Pinecrest HS in NC...one a QB with a good w/l record, one a rotational WR. We went out and picked up dinner tonight, and he mildly expressed interest on going there (Annapolis) as we were chatting. I told him that if he did, it's check and mate - more prestigious than going to VT as a walk on (wishful thinking maybe), or even going to an Ivy League school...or...I'm afraid to admit this, UNC, as it's instate tuition and that's where Walmart tells everyone down here it's the holy grail of institutions :)

Question for the lounge - if my son is so inclined, what can he do to add to his chances to get in to the USNA??? What 'arguments' / convincing evidence can I give him to focus and hone in on that as the post-HS option? He is business-minded and practical. I told him if he graduated from Annapolis, he could literally have nearly any job he would ever want....am I wrong???
