We’ve had friend’s sons the graduated fro West Point and the naval academy

The past five years. Both young men came from military families and knew what being a cadet and an academy graduate meant.

Things that helped them get there? They were both pushed to have the academics, Eagle Scouts, team captains. One, who’s dad was a West Point grad and career army officer also had residency in the state that gave him the best chances of getting a nomination

But as I said, they wanted it all through their childhood, so they were prepared for the challenges
