Given that the sample size of games between conferences is so small
(sometimes none), then how can anyone objectively determine that Conference A is stronger than Conference B in a given season? If the Committee believes that PSU's victory over OSU was a "fluke," then there is no way for the Committee to prove or disprove it. Likewise, that say logical applies to all the other games you referenced given that most people believe OSU's 1 point victory over Michigan State (3-9) and 4 point victory over NW (6-6) were both "flukes."
