No matter how many times it is typed here or mentioned by


the media, CCG do not matter A LOT. The benefit to them is an extra game against a quality opponent. That helped OSU 2 years ago. Just about every other CCG has been an added hurdle that could have knocked them out.

The committee has mirrored the old BCS formula EXACTLY with the four playoff teams these three years. That formula is comprised of human polls and computers. i doubt computers have a "conference champion" component and humans will vary on that but they voted OSU higher than PSU if I am not mistaken. People want a simple formula to be given to them but it is much more complex than that. Otherwise, these highly complex computer formulas would have never been around in the first place.
