Delaney is being hammered for being all about the money, Swofford for not.


What are the long term Pros and Cons of these positions?

Will the money keep coming in for the B1G, in the long run if they keep having Bball tournaments like the last two years? Has their tournament disappeared from the public at large since they are almost exclusively on the B1G Channel? What long term effect will that have if so? Has expanding outside of their footprint damaged their culture long term? Can schools outside of the Mid-West ever feel at home in that Conference or are they doomed to always be second fiddle to the original teams?

For the ACC, will they ever catch up money wise (by catch up I mean be close money wise on an annual basis)? Has the money deficit and lack of a Channel so far damaged them in revenue and non-revenue sports? Same Cultural questions for the ACC. Does Duke playing Syracuse in basketball work now? Does Virginia Tech playing Georgia Tech in football seem like a natural rivalry now? Long term do you see the ACC schools having natural or forced rivalries for the most part? Do the 4 Carolina schools still dominate the decisions in the ACC or have the other 10-11 now have more say in the decisions?
