I think there is also an issue with the way the authorities have flip flopped on the issue. Early on, they didn't recommend masks because there was a shortage and they didn't want people buying up masks that were needed by health care personnel. Then they changed their tune because people wearing something homemade is better than nothing if everyone does it. It's confusing. I heard yesterday in South Florida that one county says you only have to wear masks indoors, one county says you have to wear them anywhere in public. It would be easier if they were all on the same page.
