My company has offered the hourly workforce 14 paid days of COVID
sick leave. I have had 1 guy that had vacation scheduled, canceled the vacation and then had to stay home with his daughter because daycare was canceled and used COVID days for the days that were his vacation days...Right.
What they don't get is that if they get it and they're out for weeks, they'll get paid for 2 weeks, then they'll use their vacation and then they're on short term disability. Most of these guys live a lifestyle far above being able to survive off of 60% of their base pay.
