I did read the thread. It's not contagious. Period. You were the one who

wanted to boil this down to who's right and who's wrong so that's where we're at. You are completely, factually, 100% incorrect to say that obesity is contagious. Call me whatever names you want. It doesn't make you any less wrong.

No one is saying obesity isn't a serious issue particularly in this country. No one is dismissing it (despite you asserting that). It's simply not the same thing with regard to a health risk to others as any infectious disease. The reason people don't slap Big Macs out of other's hands (besides the obvious rudeness and potential criminal repercussions) is because someone else eating a Big Mac doesn't make the person walking by get fatter. It has less to do with it being taken seriously as a health issue and more to do with people simply minding their own damn business.

If your purpose was simply to repost a "funny" (spoiler: it wasn't) one liner then you could have done that. But you didn't. Instead you took issue with someone not finding it to be as amusing or accurate as you did and the next thing you know you are trying to argue that obesity is contagious which of course again is wrong. I tried to civilly explain the difference and why your "funny" (spoiler: it wasn't) one liner was misguided at best.

You decided you didn't want to play nice so I'll drop the charade of humoring you. Obesity is not contagious. I don't mean "not in the same way" not in ANY way. You can try to twist the meaning of words, call names, type in all caps you're still arguing something that is 100% factually incorrect. To be clear I am not saying""BUT IT'S NOT CONTAGIOUS IN THE SAME WAY!" I'm saying it's not contagious. Period. Full stop. Hopefully you get it now.
