I'm the last person to offer advice, as I've only accepted one job ever.


I'm still working for the same company that hired me out of college almost 16 years ago. So interviewing/taking a new job is not something I have any experience with.

But, as others have said, I would certainly think that it would be totally understandable for you to accept the first available employment opportunity after moving back to the U.S. from Mexico during a global pandemic when most companies are not looking to hire. My personal opinion is that any company that has an issue with that is not somewhere that I would personally want to work.

Best of luck with the search. I'm glad you at least found something to cover your expenses while you expand your search. Hang in there.
