The end point is one big “league” like the NFL with divisions. 24 teams.

Maybe more. But Louisville will want in when some more traditional names will not. Louisville is a metro school with big donors. And the league will also play basketball. I look for a school like Louisville wanting in while schools like ND, UVA, VT, Syracuse, Duke, Georgia Tech etc will not want to be a part of the big pay for play league.
