Yes. If the Pac12 adds a bunch on second hand teams to conference schedule

USC will look to bolt. They have the national cachet to go independent. And they are a private school who isn't bound to state politics.

And FWIW, the new CFP alignment favors small conferences due to the emphasis on conference champions for bids and byes.

Think about this. No matter how loaded the SEC is, the will only get one bye.
