Easiest thing re: membership might be to find a dance partner for Wake

Someone that picks up Wake's football membership while Wake remains a member in other sports as ND is now...at least through 2036. ACC guarantees a certain number of non-conference games to Wake for football...

That would open the door for WVU and would be a measurable upgrade for conference football.

And if ND wants to go all in, maybe you do the football only affiliate deal with Navy to sweeten the pot.

I don't know the politics at Wake, but there are worse things.

For the ACC, that is a much more solid 14 or 16 team setup
