Is the behavior by the current staff really that much different than any

of the prior staffs? I am not condoning their behavior because in some ways that is poor customer service. In fairness to both men, we don't know what their schedule looked like. So it is possible they had a busy week and couldn't make time to answer questions before the article needed to be published. Having said that, I do wonder if people in leadership position at a college/university make time to do interviews after normal business hours (i.e. in the evening).

FWIW I met Whit once when he was in HS and he was out in public with his father. He wasn't overly friendly, but he seemed like a decent guy. Keep in mind I am 9 years younger than him, so I was probably in elementary school at the time. Now I have never had the pleasure of speaking with him as an adult, so it would be interesting to see if I got a different impression from that encounter.
