That was how I heard a comedian describe it on a podcast one time. Doesn't fit perfectly since no one is claiming Fuente is a bad guy - just extremely introverted (which I can sympathize with). However, the point remains.

When he first got here, I know people were disappointed in the lack of access to the program compared to what we'd gotten used to. However, he was the new guy and everyone was excited. We saw a similar love fest with Shane Beamer this summer - it's all roses until you have to play the games.

Where Fuente started rubbing some people the wrong way was when we started struggling and he STILL stuck with his peculiarities. If I was him, I would have had certain things like "access to the program" in my back pocket ready to go for when I needed some goodwill. "Break in case of emergency."
