Being associated with schools like UConn, Houston, SMU, Cincy, Memphis,

Temple etc. would to wonders for the perception of the school nationally.

I think it's a good move athletically too. If they bring back football, (which I think they would do if they were in the AAC), they'll have the 6th best major conference to join if the AAC loses anyone. They'd probably have to be FBS independent until then.
