I was going to post almost the exact same advice. So long as court isn't


far, show up. As YardBird said, if the cop doesn't show, you're likely in the clear.

If they do show, explain the situation (X minutes behind a car going 10 MPH under the limit, road was CLEAR open, I wanted to finish the pass quickly so it's less dangerous, etc.)

Then hope for the best.
