I think the judge knows the ultimate deterrent is the money the ticket cost

The driver. They know that if you spend the time & money for the class & paid for an attorney that the money spent has caught your attention. I’m surprised though that the reckless was completely wiped clean although that was probably just for insurance purposes. I’d bet if she got another reckless, the fact that a reckless was “wiped clean” would be apparent to the next Judge & he’d not be so generous the second time.
