Homeowners insurance rates

Very troubling. Since Michael, our rate has increased by $1000 a year.
When I called about it, I was told that basically there was nothing we could add on to the house
to bring the rates down. We are already getting $1800 in discounts.

I don't think this is just in FL either. Friends of ours in NC and in SC are feeling it too.
